Who you are

As a person, you are passionate about people, business, and IKEA’s purpose and continuously drive business growth through the IKEA food offer. In addition, you are passionate about the food business and exploring new and innovative opportunities that can drive traffic to our stores by creating high-quality, healthy, affordable, and unique culinary experiences for IKEA customers.

For this role, we believe you are an experienced leader with at least 3 years of experience with business management and in leading and influencing co-workers. We expect you have experience with delivering results from a commercial role in Food, Sales, Customer Management, or similar.
Furthermore, we expect you:

• Have strong leadership as well as good collaborative skills.
• Possess strong change and stakeholder management skills and know how to apply these in an extremely ambitious environment requiring cross-functional collaboration.
• Have broad knowledge about business planning processes and the ability to set goals and follow up on KPIs.
• Understand food trends in Denmark and how consumers act, feel, and behave in an omnichannel retail environment and can apply the insights in the food experience design to create commercially viable offers in all touchpoints.

Your responsibilities

In the role of Food Commercial Leader, you are responsible for driving visitation to IKEA through the IKEA Food offer by attracting and engaging customers, as well as optimizing sales, gross margin, and profit in IKEA Food to enable extraordinary growth. You are also responsible for strengthening food commercial competence and leading activities to address key gaps in food commercial and sales performance, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will be (but are not limited to):
• Support units to drive food commercial excellence through coaching, knowledge transfer, and information sharing to, and between, the units.
• Lead food experience improvements and food innovation initiatives by continuously monitoring units, competitors, and the market to identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities.
• Optimize food sales, conversion, gross margin, and profit as well as contribute to forecasting and setting sales & supply country plan in line with a financial plan.
• Be responsible for the integration of food into activity and commercial calendar by working closely with stakeholders.
• Plan, conduct, and follow-up commercial performance and review as well as act upon them to ensure performance excellence throughout the year.
• Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values and contribute to the transformation of IKEA.

• The position is on average 37 hours per week on an individual contract. Overtime is reflected in the salary.
• Working hours will be from 8.00 – 16.00 Monday to Friday.
• Salary within IKEA’s salary policy based on your competencies and including pension.
